RAF WARMA 2 Day March
As part of their preparation for the International Nijmegen Marches in 2014, Cpl Dominic Paul and Cdt Ryuuken Yoloye travelled to RAF Cosford in the Midlands to complete the RAF’s 2 Day March challenge.
Although they have both covered many miles as part of their Wing training programme, both cadets were left in no doubt that this was their toughest challenge yet:
“By the second day, my feet were in a pretty bad way” explained Cdt Yoloye, “and lots of the team were in a lot of pain. But we kept going – worked with each other, sang songs to keep us going – and went for the finish”
This team spirit and energy led to the London Wing team placing second in the judged competition, and both our cadets coming home with their medals! Despite Mr Hull’s experience with Nijmegen, we haven’t sent many cadets in recent years – could this be the start of something new for the unit?
